Currently listening to Jill Scott – A Long Walk.
The only kind of Monday blues I’m feeling right now is being happy and super excited to start off this great week, one of the reasons why is probably because I have more opportunities to feed my stripes obsession. Stripes are totally taking over the streets of style right now (not like they ever stopped) and I’m absolutely here for it.
What I’m Wearing :
Denim : Thrifted
Shoe : Thrifted
Glasses : Shop.neen (IG)
Lots of high street designers like Zara have taken the basic stripped shirt up a notch by deconstructing them like in the case of the one shoulder ones stripped shirts or reconstructing them like in the case of the heavy puff ones and you bet I’m a believer of this new wave, so when I spotted this striped shirt with puff shoulders and tie strings at the sleeve, I couldn’t resist buying it and the best part is it was brand new and wayyyyyyyy within my budget as it cost me just N50!!!
Striped clothes have a way of looking very similar no matter the brand it’s from and that may appear as a wardrobe malfunction, so if you are like me and a lover of stripes, buying items especially shirts with these new cute details like frills, cut outs, tie strings, puffs etc are a perfect way to add as many striped pieces to your wardrobe being guilty of hoarding similar clothing items.
I decided to pair my shirt with a pair of jeans as I wasn’t going for a formal look and bringing the fun is the metallic shoes because ain’t no room for Monday blues here as we are going to have an awesome week fulfilling destiny and letting our light so shine right?.
Word For Today : ‘If you read about your phrase, you’d have victory at it’
