Happy new month awesome reader, I’m so glad you’re here again this month reading one of my not so perfect write ups but I promise you I’m working on improving.
In today’s post I’d be talking about my first ever makeup brush set. I’m going to be 21 soon and I decided it’s time to stop applying makeup with my fingertips and get my old lady self a brush set. After searching for affordable quality makeup brushes and reading reviews upon reviews I settled for the Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set and I don’t regret it.
The real techniques core collection consists of four major brushes for a flawless facebeat.
- The first brush in the image above is a precision brush for applying stuff like your lipstick perfectly or you can use it to conceal under your eyebrows like I do.
- The second brush is a contour brush to get those cheekbones popping, I like it better when I use it with a powder base contour kit than when used with a cream based contour kit. Don’t get it twisted tho it works well with both, the powder is just my preference.
- The third brush which is my favourite is the puffing brush for powder application and full coverage foundation application. I’ve never used it apply my powder but for foundation this brush is the truth!!! I love how flawless and expensive it makes my cheap foundation look, it is full coverage guaranteed.
- The last but not the least is the pointed foundation brush for custom coverage. I use this to apply my concealer for highlighting my face instead because it has a pointed tip which helps me apply the concealer exactly where I want it very precisely.
The set comes with a really cute case that can also double as a brush stand which I think is very thoughtful of real techniques.
So you see, it has all the brushes for your day-to-day makeup application and the brushes are very good multitaskers. I highly recommend this because not only is it of good quality, it is also very affordable. You can shop for this brush set here and here and don’t forget to thank me later, do enjoy the rest of the month.
Have you tried this product or any product from real techniques? Do you prefer using your fingertips or using brushes? I’d really love to get feedbacks from you, kindly leave a reply thanks.
